Most of them are mid-late 20 males like me who like sports. I’ve been there for a year now... don’t get me wrong, I do get along with them but most of them aren’t people I would hang out with.

Most of my co-workers are 50+ women. They get hammered on wine and talk about hot flashes.

I had a coworker insult me at a party once because I didn’t drink and was “bringing everyone down”. Didn’t go to any more work parties after that.

Don’t have to hang out with your coworkers. I’ve always felt work goes smoother when you don’t bond outside the office.

When I was in my twenties we would go to Buffalo Wild Wings for cheap wings, my coworkers would get hammered as well. I didn’t really fit in.

I took my Dad to Buffalo Wild Wings once for lunch. The amount of drunk college students...

Yeah, but a lot of them seem to be pretty closely knit.

Gal, actually. Was never really a fan of her.

oh man
I used to volunteer in an office years ago where most of the women were that age. It was insufferable. One day during lunch break there was an office birthday party... for someone’s cat’s 18th birthday. Complete with a fake Harvard acceptance letter.

We have potlucks once a month. They all are on some kind of diet constantly and have issues with the food I bring. I just bring guacamole and call it good.

I used to drink with my coworkers, however I wouldn’t chastise anyone for not drinking. We all made too much money and hated our jobs, kinda conducive for drinking.

Most of my co-workers have single-digit IQs.

When I was in my twenty’s most of my co workers were in there late 50's and 60's. Every non work conversation usually was centered around retirement and medical procedures. When I told them I didn’t watch much tv cause I like to play video games in the evening they looked at me like I had 3 eyes on twelve legs.

It’s all good, I find it’s good to keep your friends separated from work. If work goes to shit you still have your friends.

Okay that was a little mean, they’re easily double digits.

I’m probably close to half the average age of my office. Could be worse.

Order a stout, then switch to root beer

Only a few of my coworkers spend time with each other outside the office. It helps that my office is filled with people who have families.

I have a similar situation, but kind of in reverse. I’m single, yet most of my co-workers are married and have kids. So they’re occupied with family stuff most of the time.

Ugh, potlucks. I avoid those things like the plague.
